Welcome to Jack Greig Attack Hockey
The goal of The Jack Greig hockey camps is to provide each student with a safe, healthy and fun environment where they learn what it takes to reach their true potential as ice hockey players. Through intensive and specialized instruction into all aspects of the game of ice hockey, we hope to teach each player to not only play the game better, but also enjoy it more.
Jack Greig was a professional hockey player from 1995-2004. During his pro hockey career Jack played in UHL, SHL, CHL and ECHL leagues including a Professional Championship with the Huntsville Channel Cats (SHL) in 1995-96. Before his Professional Hockey career, Jack played Junior B Hockey for the Long Island Royals, Heartland Winter Hawks and Junior A hockey for the Bismarck Express and Nanaimo Clippers.
From 2001-2021 Jack was Head Coach, Skills Development Coach and Director of Player Development for the Long Island Royals. As head coach with the LI Royals Jack led his teams to AYHL, LIAHL, International Silver Sticks, Chicago Bauer AAA, Detroit Warrior AAA, New York State, USA Hockey National Championships, Jack currently has several former players playing Prep, Academy, USHL, NAHL, BCHL, NCDC, USPHL, ACHA, NCAA D1/D3 and professional hockey. Including 5 NHL Entry Draft picks, Sonny Milano (2014) 16th overall Columbus Blue Jackets, Robert Mastrosimone (2019) 54th overall Detroit Red Wings, Rob O’Gara (2011) 151st overall Boston Bruins, Matt Coronato (2021) 13th overall Calgary Flames, Steve Ruggerio (2015) 178th overall Anaheim Ducks.
Back in 2004 Jack started his Jack Greig Attack Hockey. Jack and his staff work on the overall player development of their students through Skills development clinics and small group training and Specialized Hockey Camps.
Since 2001 Jack has been a Professional Hockey Instructor at the Clark Gillies Arena (formerly Dix Hills Ice Rink).
From 2014-2020 Jack was involved in Hockey Operations as an Eastern Scout for the Lone Star Brahmas, Chippewa Steel and Corpus Christi Ice Rays of North America Hockey League (NAHL).
In 2021 Jack received Lifetime Achievement Coach Award by Peconic Hockey Foundation for his dedication to Hockey on Long Island. Jack was introduced by Hockey Hall Of Famer & Friend Pat Lafontaine.
From 2021-2023 Jack was the head coach for PAL Jr Islanders Premier team (USPHL) and on the Staff for the PAL Jr Islanders (NCDC).
In March 2023, Jack Was Named Director Of Hockey Operations Of Peconic Ice Rinks (Ed Westfall Arena) and the Peconic Wildcats organization.
